While many children across the world were home-schooled for the most part of last year, this was not possible for many children in the communities surrounding the Masai Mara. Laptops are rare and the internet is an expensive luxury for many. The Kenya Wildlife Trust and Mara Predator Conservation Programme, via the Wildlife Club, jumped into action keeping school children engaged and educated through the publication of a Wildlife Club book, entitled "Ole Peenko's Journey and other Stories". The stories were based on human-wildlife conflict and included interactive games for the children as well as activities to keep them busy. The book was such a success that a second publication has been made this year, with the aim to make the publication annual. Asilia's contribution supported the publication and distribution of these books.
