Making Changes for the Better
The Sands at Nomad have taken steps towards becoming a gold-rated accommodation for sustainable tourism.
- The small amount of rain they’ve received helped the Sand’s organic farm produce fresh fruit, vegetables, herbs and spices. This has come at the perfect time as the new Indulge Fine Dining experience kicks off.
- They have recently doubled the number of laying chickens, meaning they’ll be producing all the free-range eggs for the hotel's restaurant in the future.
- Of the waste management from last month, The Sands at Nomad recycled, repurposed or reused 58%.
The Sands at Nomad is looking forward to International Beach Clean-Up Day on the 18th of September. The goal is to clean up the beach on both sides of the Sands for about two kilometres!
