Victoria Falls is more than one viewpoint. Explore the rainforest paths, see the Zambezi from the air, slow down on a sunset cruise, then carry the journey into nearby Chobe.

A guided walk on the Zimbabwe side reveals the Falls from a sequence of rainforest viewpoints, with face-on panoramas of the main curtain and the gorge. Water levels change the experience throughout the year, from immense spray in the high-water months to clearer views of the rock face later in the season.

Tell us when you want to travel, which side of the Falls interests you and what you want from the safari beyond it. The more detail you share, the more tailored our first advice can be.
Choose as many destinations as you like.
The Falls change dramatically through the year. High water brings immense power and spray, while lower water reveals the gorge more clearly and opens up seasonal activities on the Zambia side.
Best all-round window: June to August for clearer viewpoints, comfortable weather and excellent onward safari conditions.
The classic combination is Victoria Falls with Botswana's Chobe National Park, which is only around an hour away. Many travellers then fly on to the Okavango Delta for water-and-land safaris. You can also pair the Falls with Zambia's or Zimbabwe's national parks. We tailor the whole journey so the Falls and your safari flow seamlessly into one trip.
The Zimbabwe side offers panoramic, face-on views of the majority of the Falls and is impressive year-round. The Zambia side gets you closer and more side-on, and is home to Devil's Pool and Livingstone Island, best from roughly August to January when water levels are lower. Both connect easily to a Botswana safari. We'll advise on the best base for your dates and what you most want to do.
Two to three nights is ideal, enough to see the Falls properly, enjoy a sunset Zambezi cruise and fit in an activity or two such as a helicopter flight or rafting, without it eating into your safari time. We'll balance the Falls with your game-viewing days so the whole trip feels well paced.
For sheer power and volume, the Falls peak after the rains from around February to May, though heavy spray can obscure the view. For clearer views and activities like Devil's Pool, the lower-water months of August to January are better. Helpfully, that drier window also overlaps with prime Botswana game-viewing season, so a combined trip works beautifully.
