Experience the Maasai Mara - 6 - $6,931
Trip Summary and Itinerary Map
Just behind the giraffes, an eclectic herd stood by the side of the road. Buffalo, impala, and zebra all stood just ahead, their heads held high and towards us expectedly. Among them, we spotted a couple of white rhinoceros, resting like the giraffes beside us.

Day 1: The adventure begins!
Upon your arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you'll be met by a friendly representative who will assist you to your driver. From here you will transfer to the Hemingways Hotel where you can relax from your international flight.
Spend your first night in a Deluxe suite, relaxing on your private balcony overlooking the iconic silhouette of the Ngong Hills, a beautiful view that can also be enjoyed over sundowners from the on-site bar.
Meal plan: Bed and breakfast
Area: Nairobi
Day 2: Hemingways to Mahali Mazuri
After your complimentary breakfast, you'll be transferred to Wilson Airport. Here you will board your light air flight to the world-famous Maasai Mara - the most popular safari destination in East Africa.
You'll be escorted to Richard Branson's Mahali Mazuri, where you'll spend the next four nights. Found in the Olare Motorogi Conservancy, it allows for a more private game viewing experience. This is one of the richest wild ecosystems in the world with 35,000 acres of rolling grassland, with an astounding volume and variety of wildlife, the Conservancy offers some of East Africa’s finest, year-round wildlife viewing.
After you're all settled after arriving, you'll enjoy an afternoon game drive ahead of your delicious dinner. If you have time, make sure to head out on a local Maasai community tour or indulge in a rejuvenating spa treatment.
Meal plan: Full Board
Area: Olare Motorogi Conservancy
Day 3: Olare Motorogi Conservancy
Spend your day in the traditional safari way with an early morning game drive followed by breakfast and siesta.
After relaxation and unwinding, you can join your afternoon game drive and search for the incredible game that the reserve is known for. There's one game-viewing vehicle for every 2,100 acres, a move by the conservancy that is aimed to maximise the client wilderness experience and minimise the environmental impact of tourism. The low vehicle density provides a truly unique and incomparable wildlife viewing experience in an uncrowded wilderness.
Day 4: Olare Motorogi Conservancy
Start your day with a morning like no other, embarking on a hot air balloon ride over the rolling reserve. From this height, you can witness animals from a perspective you've ever seen before. Glide silently over the plains as the sun rises over Africa.
In the afternoon you can take the opportunity to meet some of the local Masaai tribes and witness their incredible culture. Take part in the activities they're doing at the time: milking cattle, herding livestock, or cooking food over a roaring fire.
Day 5: Olare Motorogi Conservancy
Your final day in Olare to witness the amazing game viewing with both a morning and afternoon game drive, accompanied by a knowledgeable guide. Every day on safari offers its own unique experience and the chance to witness something never seen before.
The hills are the year-round home to a remarkably diverse population of giraffes, wildebeests, warthogs and zebras. Naturally, having these herbivores around in large numbers also makes the area more than a little attractive to predators. The conservancy is immensely popular among lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, leopards and other meat-eaters.
Enjoy stops in the bush for coffees or an iconic African sundowner.
Day 6: Towards the next adventure!
After your final breakfast, you will depart on your light air flight to the Wilson airport. Here you will meet your driver, who will take you to the international airport to connect with your international flight home.
